Ingredients
- Half a cup of flour
- A quarter cup of liquid oil
- Half a cup of powdered sugar
- One and a quarter cups of flour
- Half a cup of sesame seeds
- 12 pitted dates
Instructions
First, turn on the oven and set it to 180 degrees Celsius.
Pour the flour and liquid oil into a bowl. Set aside a quarter cup of flour and sift the rest of the flour with powdered sugar into the bowl containing the flour. Mix the ingredients first with a spoon and then with your hands until smooth. The dough should be soft, smooth, and slightly sticky. If it is too sticky, add the remaining flour gradually, but the dough should not be too stiff, and it is normal for the dough to be a little sticky and loose.
Take equal-sized balls from the prepared dough and flatten them slightly in the palm of your hand. Place half of the dates inside, close the dough so that the dates are covered. Roll the sweets in sesame seeds until their entire surface is covered with sesame seeds and place them on the tray. There is no need to leave a large gap between the sweets because they will not spread much in the oven.
Bake the sweets on the middle shelf of the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the sesame seeds turn slightly golden. After baking and removing from the oven, do not touch the sweets until they have completely cooled.
Enjoy!
