How to make Russian salad with Thousand Island dressing

Olivier salad, which we know better as Russian salad, was first prepared and served in the 1860s in the restaurant of the Hermitage Palace in Russia, which is now known as the Hermitage Museum. If Olivier salad is one of your favorite dishes, we suggest you try Russian salad as well.

The advantage of this recipe is the use of Oghab Thousand Islands sesame sauce, which, like other products of this factory, its main ingredient is sesame and, compared to most sauces on the market, is not harmful to health. In the following, we will learn how to prepare this delicious and, of course, healthy salad.

Ingredients

  • 3 potatoes
  • 3 medium carrots
  • 1 cup peas
  • 4 boiled eggs
  • 6 medium pickled cucumbers
  • Half a cup of Oghab Thousand Island sesame sauce
  • Dining or parsley as needed
  • Salt and pepper as needed

How to prepare

In the first step, steam or boil the potatoes for 30 minutes, as desired. Then peel the carrots and leave them for 10 to 15 minutes until they are completely cooked with the potatoes. Be careful about the cooking time of the potatoes; because the potatoes should not be mashed for chopping.

In the second step, steam or boil the peas as desired, place them in a separate container and wait for them to cool slightly.

At this stage, cut the cooked carrots and potatoes into small squares, place them in another bowl, and then add the peas to them.

In the fourth stage, add the boiled eggs and pickles to the other ingredients. If you wish, you can also cut the eggs and pickles into small squares.

At this stage, add salt, pepper, and Oghab Thousand Islands Sesame Dressing to the rest of the ingredients. If you wish, you can add more salad dressing.

In the last stage, add dill or parsley to the salad. Your Russian salad is ready just like that.
