Homemade sesame wafers

ویفر کنجدی خانگی

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 cup pressed brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Lightly grease the surface of the oven with Oghab refined sesame oil and cover the tray with greaseproof paper and heat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place the sesame seeds in a frying pan over low heat until golden.

Mix the softened butter with the brown sugar until smooth and fluffy, then add the eggs and mix well.

Combine the salt, flour, and baking powder and add to the butter and egg mixture. Mix all the ingredients together until smooth and homogeneous, and finally add sesame seeds, vanilla, and fresh lemon juice to the wafer dough.

Place the resulting mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set a little and make it easier to place on the baking tray.

It is best to use a teaspoon to place the dough on the baking tray and place the dough on the parchment paper at a distance from each other so that there is space for it to puff up.

It takes about 15 minutes for the edges to brown and the dough to cook. After the wafers have cooled, you can remove them from the tray and transfer them to another container to cool completely.
