Ingredients for making sesame pumpkin cake
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 3 tablespoons avocado oil or grape seed oil
- 1/4 cup sesame oil for Oghab halva
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 and 1/2 cups flour
- 4 tablespoons white sesame for Oghab halva
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
How to make sesame pumpkin cake
Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
First, in a bowl, mix pumpkin puree, avocado or grape seed oil, Oghab halva sesame oil, eggs and sugar together.
Next, in another bowl, combine sifted flour, white sesame, salt, baking powder and baking soda and add to the other ingredients and mix all the ingredients together again until you achieve a soft and uniform texture.
Finally, if desired, add a few pieces of dark chocolate to the ingredients, stir the cake contents again and keep the remaining chocolate for the final decoration of the cake.
Pour the resulting dough into a round mold that you have previously greased and decorate it with white sesame and, if desired, the remaining chocolate pieces.
Place the dish in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes and wait until the delicious cake is ready.
